Minus Mountain
Minus Mountain is a five-piece doom/sludge/progressive metal band from Lübeck, Germany.
The band was founded in 2016 and consists of frontman Robert Heiduk, guitarists Felix Buck and Max Beckmann, bassist Gerrit Böttcher, and drummer Ingo Festag.
Rock Hard magazine describes their music as „oppressively psychedelic sludge structures with mountains of shattering riff violence… a dose of snotty hard rock garage vibes and fine prog melodies… (and) solid, raspy vocals.“
Minus Mountain released their self-titled debut album in July 2015 on vinyl, CD, and all major streaming platforms.
The album received excellent reviews in the specialist magazines Metal Hammer and Rock Hard, and the band was also honored as „Heroes of Tomorrow“ with a half-page interview in Metal Hammer (see also the list of reviews).
Minus Mountain released their self-titled debut album in July 2015 on vinyl, CD, and all major streaming platforms. The lyrics oscillate between dystopia and life-affirming self-empowerment. Catchy, melodic vocals clash with martial gang shouts. Minus Mountain explores the ambivalence and inner conflict inherent in all human existence, addressing creativity, betrayal, and excess.
Since their formation, Minus Mountain have regularly performed at club concerts and festivals in Lübeck, Hamburg, Berlin, Kiel, and other cities.
