THOUGHTS is an instrumental metal band from Rostock/Germany.
Inspired by scene heavyweights like Tesseract, Leprous and Meshuggah, the trio delivers an independent mix of post- and progressive metal: layers of dense and crystalline guitars. Heavy and complex bass. Atmospheric and catchy synthesizers. Brachiality meets fragility. Polymetrics meets groove.

THOUGHTS aims to turn every concert into a journey through sound and light. The band uses an automated timecode light show with its own lighting hardware on stage to create a captivating overall audiovisual experience: Glistening strobe in dense fog. Silhouettes in front of bright colors. Beams of light breaking through the audience.

The band’s references include sold-out concerts with the international bands Brutus (BE), Gaerea (POR) and Juneau (BE).

In 2024, the band released their first single “Afore Dawn”. The debut was produced by Chris Edrich (Tesseract, Leprous, The Ocean, Celeste) and Pierrick Noel (Leprous, Alcest, Klone, Hypno5e).

The band is currently finalizing their first album, which will be released in 2026 with two singles and accompanying music videos.
